Men’s golf tied for seventh after first day of Bowdoin Invitational
BRUNSWICK, Maine – Husson University men’s golf is tied for seventh place as a team at the Bowdoin Invitational after shooting a collective 12-over-par 300 during Saturday’s opening round at the Brunswick Golf Club. Senior Chris Kauppila led the way for the Eagles by shooting a one-over 73 to put him a tie for 11th after 18 holes on the par-72, 6,627-yard course. Endicott College’s Ty Baker, New York University’s Jorge Montero and Trinity College in Connecticut’s Cooper Yaccino all lead the tournament by one stroke after shooting 3-under during the first round.
