Women’s Soccer Produces 3 Second-Half Goals, Blanks Le Moyne in First-Ever NEC Meeting

THROGGS NECK, N.Y. — The first-ever meeting between LIU and Le Moyne as Northeast Conference foes went to the Sharks over the Dolphins. Freshmen Stephanie Schubert and Casey Beauregard as well as Taylor Curcio tallied second-half goals as the LIU women’s soccer team defeated league newcomer Le Moyne, 3-0, on a rainy Sunday at Reinhart Field in Throggs Neck. Schubert’s goal, which she produced with her right foot off a pass from Beauregard, came in the 57th minute and opened the scoring.
