Women’s Tennis: Cortland Sweeps Weekly SUNYAC Women’s Tennis Awards

Cortland graduate student Emily Morano (Olyphant, PA/Mid Valley) has been selected as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women’s Tennis Singles Athlete of the Week and the combination of junior Emma Madigan (Endicott/Union-Endicott) and freshman Christina Massoni (West Babylon) have been named the league’s Doubles Team of the Week for the week ending Sept. 24. Morano went 2-0 at fourth singles during the week. Her 6-3, 7-5 win Wednesday at Oneonta helped Cortland defeat its rival Red Dragons for the first time since 2014.
