Additionally, Nelson reportedly made a seven-figure NIL deal as a high schooler in the Class of 2023. It’s the reason why he was able to upgrade his family’s 1999 Ford Escape by purchasing a 2022 Mercedes AMG GLE 53 Coupe, which starts at $78,000.
“If I had a dollar for every time I had to pick them up [in the 1999 Ford Escape],” Malachi’s dad told ESPN. “It had a mind of its own. It would break down and wouldn’t start and you’d do nothing to it and two hours later it starts up.”
