Thompson Finishes First at Sweet Briar Invitational

SWEET BRIAR, Va. The Randolph men’s cross-country team competed at the Sweet Briar Invitational on Friday evening. Two WildCats posted times in the top 10. Cody Thompson (Dunnellon, Fla./Crystal River) came in first overall ahead of six runners from Longwood University with a time of 27:52 in the 8k race. Fellow WildCat Aaron Scott (Woodbridge, Va./Colgan) came in ninth overall with a time of 33:15.2. Jackson White (King George, Va./King George) was the other Randolph runner to finish as he came in 12th overall in a time of 35:22.4.
