BANGOR, Maine – The University of Southern Maine women’s cross country team placed sixth in a field of 10 teams on Saturday at the Maine State Championships. The event was hosted by Husson University in Saxl Park in Bangor. Bates College placed first followed by Bowdoin College while Colby College finished in third. Elizabeth Holcombe from Bates completed the 6k course in 22:21.2 to place first overall. Junior captain Olivia Mosca (Brewer, Maine) ran the fastest time for Southern Maine at 23:39.5.
