Women’s Cross Country: Kenyon first-years lead way at Classic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Led by first-year Olivia Ide, the Kenyon College women’s cross country team scored 639 points and placed 36th within a large field of 50 teams at Saturday’s Louisville Classic. Competing in the Classic’s Women’s 5k Silver race, one that contained more than 400 runners, Ide whipped through the course in a time of 19:30.1. Her teammate and classmate Penny Griffioen was the next to finish for the Owls. She stopped the clock at 21:23.7 and claimed 148th place.
