Summerville, South Florence, Daniel, Gray Collegiate and Lewisville retained the top spots in the South Carolina Prep Media football polls for Oct. 2. The lone Berkeley County School District squad ranked in one of the five SC High School League classifications is Philip Simmons in Class AAA. The 7-0 Iron Horses moved up from No. 10 to No. 9 after cruising past defending Class AAA state champion Beaufort, 36-6, on Friday, Sept. 29 in the Region 8-AAA opener for both teams.
