Eric Sekyaya Wins Second NE10 Rookie Award

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Freshman Eric Sekyaya (Burlington, Mass.) was named Northeast-10 Male Cross Country Rookie of the Week on Tuesday. Sekyaya had a strong run at last Friday’s Battle in Beantown. Competing against Division I competition, Eric ran an 8k in 26:43.5, finishing 114th. This is the second award the NE10 has handed out to Sekyaya. The Penmen (men and women) will next compete on Friday, Oct. 13 at the Bruce Kirsh Meet at the Hopkinton (N.H.) Fairgrounds.
