NJCU women top Raptors, 2-1, in NJAC makeup game

CAMDEN, N.J. (Oct. 4, 2023) – It took a few days and a new venue before the Rutgers University-Camden and New Jersey City University women’s soccer teams could play their New Jersey Athletic Conference game here Wednesday night. When they finally played, the Gothic Knights scored two goals in a 13-minute span in the second half and hung on to defeat the Scarlet Raptors, 2-1. The game, which was supposed to have been played Saturday in Jersey City, was postponed and moved to Camden when torrential rains flooded the Gothic Knights’ field.
