Secrist Leads Men’s Tennis in Loss at MVNU
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — The Capital University men’s tennis team traveled to Mount Vernon Nazarene on Thursday afternoon, where they were upended 4-1. The Comets are now 0-3 this fall in head-to-head matches. Despite the losing effort, sophomore Thomas Secrist was a bright spot for Capital as he finished his day 2-0 by winning first singles and doubles (alongside partner Spencer Surles). At the top singles spot, Secrist defeated Clayton Amburgy with ease, 6-2, 6-1. In doubles play, Secrist and Surles teamed up to win 6-2.
