Women’s Swimming and Diving Picked Fifth, Men Picked sixth in MAAC Coaches Poll
The Canisius women’s swimming and diving team were picked fifth, while the men’s swimming and diving team were slotted in sixth place as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced the results of its Preseason Coaches’ Poll on Thursday. Reigning conference champion Fairfield was the favorite on the women’s side, earning eight first-place votes and 97 top points to take the top spot in the conference. Niagara was selected second, receiving one first-place vote and 84 total points. Marist (82 points) and Iona (70 points) rounded out the top four teams.
