Ichabod cross country teams return with season-best marks from ESU Invite

EMPORIA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod men’s and women’s cross country teams sent seven runners down to the Emporia State Invitational on Friday night. All three competing women and men had their fastest times of the season on the 5K course. The Ichabods will be in action Oct. 20 at the MIAA Championships in Columbia, Mo. at Gans Creek. Women Cheyenne Hittle led a trio of Ichabods with a 26th-place finish with a time of 20:22.65 over the 5K course. The time was her fastest in her Ichabod career by 2:20.
