Stone leads Thunder women’s golf team on day two of CCIW Championship

Metamora, Ill. — The second day of the 2023 CCIW Women’s Golf Championship has concluded, and the three participating Wheaton golfers have now played 36 of the 54 scheduled holes at this weekend’s competition. After Friday’s scores were registered, Lizzy Stone will head into the final day of action leading the way for the Thunder squad. The junior from Frisco, Texas dropped her day one total by five strokes this morning to earn a round score of 79 (+8) and move up the individual leaderboard into a tie for 22nd place.
