Cross Country Takes On Host Double Duty And Competes In Metropolitan Championships

NEWARK, N.J. — NJIT Cross Country was quite busy on a rainy Homecoming Saturday afternoon, serving as hosts and participants of the Metropolitan Championships while also hosting the reimagined HighlanderXC Invitational as a meet to support the program. At METs, the Highlanders produced a top ten finisher in both the Women’s 5K and the Men’s 8K, as Anthony Dvorsky (25:14.80; 5th place) and Sarah Van Ornum (18:05.34; 6th place) set the pace as NJIT’s to performers at the meet.
