Burness named Liberty League Performer of the Week

William Smith College senior Justine Burness was named the Liberty League Women’s Golf Performer of the Week by the conference office this afternoon. Burness led the Herons to a 3-2 victory over Nazareth in match play at Clifton Springs Country Club on Sunday. She defeated Grace Colangelo 9 and 8 to improve her match play record to a team-leading 4-1 this fall. In her collegiate career, Burness is 6-2 in match play and currently has the second best career scoring average for a Heron since the program’s inception in 2004.
