Fresh faces, bright future: Bellbrook volleyball players step up after seven seniors graduate
BELLBROOK, Ohio — Bellbrook High School (BHS) volleyball graduated seven seniors from last year’s team and is playing one of its toughest schedules this year.
Since we have moved to Division 1, we have had to increase our competition during the season, to prepare for tournament time!
This year’s varsity team includes athletes from all four grades. Our seniors are Grace Atchison, Sydney Burchfield and Sam Pavlak. All three of them are captains, plus our junior stud, Sophie Davis. Sophie has recently committed to Palm Beach Atlantic University: a Division 2 school in Florida. This group of young ladies worked so hard in the preseason, playing in tournaments and running a camp with over 100 campers.
We have three teams this year, with 34 players and lots of talent in our future!
Everyone is encouraged to pack the bleachers on Thurs., Oct. 12, when we play Chaminade Julienne. Grace, Sydney and Sam will be recognized during Senior Night.
