Herons V8 tabbed Boat of the Week

The William Smith College rowing team’s varsity eight turned its gold medal-winning performance at the Head of the Genesee into conference praise when the league announced its weekly awards this afternoon. The Herons’ top boat of Mary Baillos, Oliva Helms, Elisa Faiola, Kate Abdalla, Raya Schwartz Cheyenne Muldowney, Leah Wiebe, Jane Bliss and Linnea Darius was named the Liberty League Women’s Rowing Boat of the Week. Baillos, Helms, Faiola, Abdalla, Schwartz, Muldowney, Wiebe, Bliss and Darius powered the Herons’ 1V down the 5-kilometer Genesee River course with a time of 18:46.12.
