Datta Earns Second Straight CACC Runner of the Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Junior Joey Datta (Edison, N.J.) has been named CACC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second straight week, the Conference announced this morning. Datta, who finished second among 234 competitors at the NJIT Highlander Challenge at Branch Brook Park in Newark on Saturday, turned in a season-best time of 25:45.50 on a muddy course. Datta, who also earned the league’s top weekly honor on Oct. 3, will defend his CACC Cross Country title on Sunday, Oct. 22 in Philadelphia, in the Cougars’ next action.
