Emporia State’s Jaime Diaz named MIAA Cross Country Athlete of the Week

Men’s Cross Country | 10/10/2023 4:17:00 PM October 10, 2023-Emporia State’s Jaime Diaz was named the MIAA Male Cross Country Athlete of the Week during the final week of regular season competition. Diaz won the men’s individual title in record setting fashion as he led the Emporia State men to the team title at the ESU Invitational in a tiebreaker over Fort Hays State. Diaz ran 24:43.70 to break the previous course record by six seconds and finish 13 seconds in front of runner-up Grant Bradley of Fort Hays State.
