Walden Grove boys basketball team spends day with NBA trainer
SAHUARITA, Ariz. — Walden Grove Boys’ Basketball Program got the training of a lifetime this fall when their Booster Club brought in NBA Trainer Tony Vasaturo to work with the boys. Tony brought with him Coach Brett Cauchi. The trainers spent two hours with each level of the program and then two hours talking to the coaches. Tony proved that he holds “the players to a high standard while teaching them the intellectual properties of basketball.”

Tony coached at UConn and UCF for six years. He wanted more time working with players and now conducts NBA Pre-Draft Basketball in Irvine, CA. Through his training, he helps players achieve their dream of playing at the professional level.

Brett has spent seven years coaching college basketball at D2 and CCCAA levels as well as with PGC Basketball. He is currently coaching out of Scottsdale, AZ.

Tony and Brett complement each other and provided a complete training. Tony focused on skills training and breaks down complex moves into their basics and then builds them back up. Brett is focused on the team coaching up decision-making and culture building. It was incredible to watch these high school boys be silent and soak in this training.
