Webb City draws No. 2 seed in Class 4 District 7 tourney

The Webb City Cardinals are the second-seed softball team in the Class 5 District 7 tournament hosted by the top-seed and fifth-ranked team in Class 4, the Nevada Tigers. The Cardinals (24-11) open against the No. 7 seed Raytown Lady Jays (6-10) at 7 p.m. Thursday in Nevada. If successful, Webb City will play the winner of No. 3 seed Belton (16-10) and No. 6 seed Warrensburg (8-18) at 2 p.m. Saturday in the semifinals.
