Top 10 Philadelphia Eagles wide receivers of all time
5. Ben Hawkins (1966-73)
Hawkins stood out — both because of an equipment quirk and his penchant for big plays.
With an unbuckled chin strap, his average grab was good for 18.3 yards and, as a second-year pro, he tallied 1,265 receiving yards — the most in the league. He didn’t near that total for the rest of his career but posted 13 100-yard games.
Hawkins’ 92-yard touchdown catch in 1968 stood as the longest in team history for 17 years.
