Allen Soccer Hangs on to defeat Trinity for 2nd Win

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Allen University women’s soccer team used a 4-goal first half to hang on and defeat visiting Trinity Baptist 4-3 at home Thursday afternoon from the SC United Complex. Freshman forward Tatyana Machado recorded a hat trick in the first half scoring three goals to give Allen a 4-1 lead at the break. Also scoring for Allen in the first half was junior midfielder Tonie Sledz as she scored off a free kick that deflected off a Eagle defender and into the net in the 26th minute for Allen’s second goal.
