Haley Cavinder in transfer portal; 5 possible destinations
CORAL GABLES, Fla. (BVM) — It was reported on Friday that Haley Cavinder entered the transfer portal after spending one season with the Miami Hurricanes.
Cavinder averaged 12.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists in her lone season, but she and her sister, Hanna, announced this past spring they would be stepping away from basketball and signed NIL deals with Raising Cane’s, Victoria’s Secret PINK and Champs Sports.
Haley is returning to the basketball court after announcing it on her Instagram and her agent, Jeff Hoffman, confirmed it.
“As a businesswoman, she’s excited to see what type of opportunities there might be in the portal,” Hoffman told On3.com on Friday. “It comes from a foundation of she misses basketball more than anything in the world and as it approaches another season, even more so. She is going to hop in the portal. She’s 100% making her return to college basketball.”
