High school football: Rampants battling for 1st place on Senior Night

Three Pitt County high school football programs celebrate their seniors in final regular season home games Friday, one of them a resurgent J.H. Rose squad battling for first place. Closing out home regular season slates are Rose, South Central and North Pitt. It’s a big one at Rose with New Bern invading. At 3-1 in the Big Carolina, Rose is right behind the reshuffled lead of 3-0 Havelock with 2-1 Jacksonville next, then New Bern leading four teams with two league losses each.
