Jerry Jeudy expected to be traded; Top 5 landing spots
DENVER (BVM) – It appears the Denver Broncos will be hosting a fire sale.
Sitting at 1-5 on the season, the Broncos released veteran pass rusher Frank Clark on Friday (since they were unable to find a trade partner) just a week after trading edge rusher Randy Gregory to the San Francisco 49ers.
Denver has gotten calls about other players on its roster, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, and should be even more active ahead of the Oct. 31 NFL trade deadline. The next candidate for the Broncos’ fire sale appears to be wide receiver Jerry Jeudy who had an eventful Thursday night.
Before Denver’s “Thursday Night Football” matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs, former Carolina Panthers wide receiver and NFL analyst Steve Smith attempted to apologize for previous comments he made about Jeudy on his podcast, “Cut To It.”
When Jeudy wasn’t willing to make amends, Smith went nuclear.
“I’m sorry I said you were a JAG, just a guy, who is an average wide receiver they [the Denver Broncos] used a first-round pick on that isn’t doing anything,” Smith said during NFL Network’s pregame coverage.

Jeudy responded with his worst game of the season so far – 14 yards on just three catches – and is up to 20 catches for 222 yards on the year after setting career highs in catches (67), yards (972) and touchdowns (6) in 2022. Before Thursday night’s game, Fanbuzz NFL insider Matt Lombardo reported that multiple league executives expect the Broncos to trade Jeudy before the deadline.
With that in mind, here are five possible landing spots for Jeudy via trade.
