Academy of Art men’s soccer fought hard on Senior Day to earn a 2-2 tie against the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds. The Urban Knights honored their seniors with a pregame ceremony and came out with determination in their final home match. Although the Sunbirds took an early 1-0 lead from a penalty kick, the Knights quickly evened the score with a well-executed goal. They then took the lead with a penalty kick of their own from Gilly Miller, who now holds the Academy of Art career points record. However, the Sunbirds fought back and tied the match in the 84th minute. The match ended with multiple saves from the Knights’ goalkeeper, Jaiden Brooks. The Urban Knights will now prepare for their upcoming away matches.
