Prep sports: Maple River extends winning streak

The Free Press MAPLETON — Chad Schull rushed for 182 yards and three touchdowns as Maple River defeated Sibley East 21-0 in a Class AA football game Friday. Maple River has won six straight games. Schull’s scoring runs were 8, 66 and 6 yards. Braxton Simon led the defense with seven tackles. Schull, Cale Hansen and Wyatt Birr each made an interception. Maple River (6-1) hosts Minnesota Valley Lutheran on Wednesday. Waseca 53, Albert Lea 0: The Bluejays won their sixth straight game. Waseca (6-1) plays at Fairmont on Wednesday, with the winner claiming the top seed in Section 3AAA.…
