Savarese’s goal lifts Raptors to 1-0 rainy-day victory

CAMDEN, N.J. (Oct. 14, 2023) – On a rainy, raw day at the Camden Athletic Complex here Saturday, almost everything was equal between the Rutgers University-Camden and Rutgers University-Newark women’s soccer teams. The only difference was a second-chance shot by Scarlet Raptor sophomore forward Maresa Savarese, and that was enough to lift Rutgers-Camden over Rutgers-Newark, 1-0, in a soggy New Jersey Athletic Conference game.
