ELIZABETH CITY, NC – The Claflin Lady Panthers (8-5, 4-4 CIAA) kicked their offense into gear just when they needed it to claim a five-set win over Virginia Union (8-9, 2-6 CIAA), Saturday afternoon. After a strong start, the Lady Panthers fended off a furious Virginia Union rally to claim the 25-23, 25-21, 24-26, 23-25, and 15-11 victory. The Lady Panthers were able to play some tremendous defense against an aggressive Virginia Union offense in the match.
