Warhawks Unable to Overcome First Half Deficit
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women’s soccer team answered UW-Stevens Point’s first goal quickly, but were unable to respond to the next two, falling 3-1 on Saturday night. UW-Stevens Point opened up scoring quickly, placing a shot from about 30 yards out into the back of the net to open up scoring 1-0. The Warhawks answered back quickly, finding their own goal on a play from Megan Howard (Lakeland, Minn./Stillwater Area) and Emily Thill (West Chicago, Ill./St. Francis).
