WestConn Men’s Golf Lands In 14th After Day One At New England Championships

BREWSTER, Mass. – Senior Gavin Calcavecchio (New Milford, Conn.) fired a 78 to tie for 25th after day one of the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Men’s Championship Tournament at The Captain’s Course on Cape Cod this afternoon. WestConn sits in 14th place having shot 332 as a squad, one better than 15th-place Southern Maine and two shy of 13th-place Worcester State. Husson leads the field at 298. Wolves senior Cameron Bodamer (Charlton, Mass.) carded an 80 to tie for 40th, while junior Nicholas Bedell (Milford, Conn.) tied for 62nd at 83.
