Women’s soccer falls to Wingate on the road
Wingate, NC – The Lincoln Memorial women’s soccer team traveled to Wingate on Saturday. Both teams failed to get anything on the board in the first half. Lincoln Memorial goalkeeper Bente Latenstein was a defensive force, tallying eight saves in the first half. However, in the 55th minute, Yasmin Cowley found the back of the net for the Bullodgs on the assist from Caroline Peters, giving Wingate a 1-0 lead in the second half. Cowley again found the net in the 62nd minute of the match, giving the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead. This time, she was assisted by Nicole Cristy.…
