Women’s Soccer Climbs Into 6th-Place With UCSB Victory
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Cal State Bakersfield Women’s Soccer team posted a huge result over the weekend that moved the Roadrunners up the Big West table and into 6th-place. In a thrilling conference clash at UC Santa Barbara, Karen Flores scored the eventual game-winning goal just 75 second into the second half thanks to a fantastic 1-2-3 passing routine from Iliana Murguia and Kim Garcia. With less than two minutes remaining, Catalina Roggerone saved an assured game-timing strike from UCSB by desperately heading the ball away at the goal line.
