Courtland Sutton expected to be traded; Top 5 landing spots

DENVER (BVM) – The Denver Broncos have been very busy lately and not necessarily out on the football field.

Sitting in last place in the AFC West at 1-5, the Broncos have released veteran pass rusher Frank Clark (after they were unable to find a trade partner) and traded edge rusher Randy Gregory to the San Francisco 49ers over the last two weeks.

Denver has gotten calls about other players on its roster, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, and could very well be active ahead of the Oct. 31 NFL trade deadline.

One of those players who the Broncos have fielded inquiries about over the last two seasons is Courtland Sutton and, according to Schefter, the 28-year-old wide receiver is expected to garner even more attention in the coming weeks.

Sutton leads the Broncos in targets (37), catches (25), receiving yards (275) and receiving touchdowns (4) this season. The big-bodied (6-foot-4, 216 pounds), physical wideout could provide a significant boost to a contending team.

With that in mind, here are five possible landing spots for Sutton via trade.
