Schweitzer takes 2nd, team ties for 3rd at Midwest Classic

WARRENSBURG, Mo. — Griffon Women’s Golf freshest newcomer now has a new career-high placing and her first piece of hardware. Saya Schweitzer led Missouri Western to a tie for third place at the Midwest Classic, tying for second individually on Tuesday at the Mules National Golf Club. Schweitzer carded three-above a par 70 for a total of 143. She also finished tied for the second-most birdies made with five throughout two rounds.
