Bears sweep past Paul Smith’s, 3-0

POTSDAM, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam women’s volleyball team (5-14) swept Paul Smith’s College (11-7) 3-0 on Wednesday night. Freshman outside hitter Emily Prest (Averill Park, N.Y./Averill Park) led the Bears with nine kills, seven digs and three aces. The Bears shook off a slow start to win a 25-21 decision in set one. They then took set two from the Bobcats 25-22 before closing out the victory 25-17 in set three. Freshman libero Madison Gilliland (Rossville, Ga./Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe) had 20 digs and two kills.
