5. Mitchell Evans, Notre Dame

There wouldn’t be a tight end list without at least one Notre Dame pass catcher on it and Evans certainly fits the bill. The 6-foot-5, 260-pound junior leads the Fighting Irish in receptions (24) and receiving yards (356) while averaging 14.8 yards per catch. Evans put his stamp on Notre Dame’s win over then-No. 17 Duke by reeling in six passes for 134 yards. Per usual, the Fighting Irish boast one of the best tight ends in the country.

Just when you might have thought Notre Dame was on hiatus as "Tight End U," Mitchell Evans has looked like the second coming of Michael Mayer the last two weeks.
