Men’s and Women’s Swimming Host Iona In Home Opener

By: David Patalano BROOKLYN, N.Y.— The men’s and women’s swimming teams had their home opener on Friday night when they took on Iona in a dual meet. The women’s team grabbed its first victory of the season 150-112 while the men fell to the Gaels 145.5-116.5 A number of Sharks impressed during the meet. Mariajose Lopez Lizarraga snagged the victory in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:38.01. She also won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:15.61.
