New Paltz sweeps Bears

NEW PALTZ, N.Y.—SUNY New Paltz (16-6, 6-1 SUNYAC) captured a 3-0 victory over the SUNY Potsdam women’s volleyball team (5-15, 0-6) on Friday night. Junior outside hitter Megan Henry (Candor, N.Y./Candor) led the Bears with six kills and six digs. The host Hawks won 25-11, 25-13 and 25-14 set victories to seal the win. Senior opposite Kendall Jones (Parker, Colo./Elizabeth) registered three kills, two blocks and two assists. Sophomore setter Sophia Layer (Potsdam, N.Y./Potsdam) had three kills and eight assists.
