Warriors fall to Royals in tight match

SCRANTON, Pa. – Despite 11 ties and five lead changes in the match, second-place the University of Scranton was able to edge out the Lycoming College volleyball team, 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-21), in Landmark Conference action at the John Long Center on Friday night, Oct. 20. The Warriors (13-7 overall, 1-5 Landmark) held a lead in all three sets and were tied with the Royals (12-7 overall, 7-0 Landmark) at 22 in the second set and 18 in the third, but the Royals were able to close out the close sets each time.
