The SMWC attack put together a solid performance in the opening set and a closed the match with a dominant fifth set to pick up a huge road win at Rio Grande on Friday night by scores of 25-15, 18-25, 25-20, 17-25, 15-6. The Pomeroys (25-3, 11-2 River States Conference) relied on a strong defensive performance throughout to grind out the victory and posted a .400 hitting percentage in the fifth set.
