ALFRED, NY – For the fourth consecutive season, the Alfred University women’s soccer team has reached the Empire 8 Tournament following a 0-0 draw against Hartwick College on Saturday night from Yunevich Stadium. The Saxons (4-4-6, 2-0-5 Empire 8) took a moment to recognize their senior class competing in their final collegiate seasons, which includes Jacey Palmgreen (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia), Shelby Beardsley (Fillmore, NY/Fillmore Central), Abby Wilson (Greece, NY/Odyssey Academy) and Olivia Gilbert (Ontario, NY/Wayne Central).
