Men’s soccer falls to Shenandoah

WINCHESTER, Va.— Averett University men’s soccer fell to Shenandoah University 3-1 on Saturday afternoon. In the 43rd minute of play, Averett (5-4-7, 2-3-4 ODAC) was down 2-0 until senior Agustin Jaraba managed to find the back of the net. Shenandoah (7-4-4, 4-2-3 ODAC)struck first, scoring in the 14th minute to lead the Cougars 1-0. The Hornets managed to score late in the first half to extend their lead to 2-0. Closing in on the 90th minute, Shenandoah tacked on one more goal to end the match. Averett had 12 shots taken in the match, with five of them on target.…
