Miller Leads Women’s Cross Country to 5th Place at GLVC Championships

UIS women’s cross country competed among fourteen teams at the GLVC Cross Country Championships at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Prairie Stars raced to 5th place, led by Madelyn Miller. Miller, who went through the 2,000 meter mark in 14th position, improved to 11th after another 2,000 meters and held that position. The sophomore from East Moline, Ill. picked up her career first All-GLVC award and was the first All-GLVC Prairie Stars women’s cross country runner since Taryn Christy in 2021. It was a personal best of nearly two minutes and the 4th-best cross country 6k time in program history.…
