PREP FOOTBALL: Venice stays hot, runs away from Tigers
VENICE — If anyone was doubting the Venice High football team after its 0-2 start to the season, they’re starting to run out of reasons to not believe. The Indians (6-2) overpowered Palmetto (4-3) from the jump on Friday night at Powell-Davis Stadium, churning out 379 yards of total offense on the way to a 51-16 win in which the clock ran for most of the second half — the team’s fifth straight win by 21 points or more.
