‘Birds Fall Short to Golden Eagles

IRVINE, Calif.- The Fresno Pacific Sunbirds (2-10-1 overall, 1-4-1 conference) fell to the Concordia University Irvine Golden Eagles (10-1-1 overall, 5-0-1 conference) Saturday night after a late furry of second half goals pulled the Eagles ahead of the Sunbirds 4-1. To open the game, the Golden Eagles scored quickly in the 9th minute to take an early one goal lead. Less than 30 seconds later, on the counter attack Nadia Flores broke through with a goal of her own to even the game 1-1.
