The George Fox women’s volleyball team suffered a disappointing loss at the hands of the Whitworth Pirates, ending their four-game winning streak. The Bruins struggled to find their footing in the first set, resulting in a 25-14 loss. The second set was more competitive, with the Bruins coming within one point of tying the Pirates, but ultimately losing by two points. In the final set, the Bruins started strong but couldn’t maintain their lead, ultimately losing 25-17. Despite the loss, Coach Emily Davis praised the team’s serve receive and serving. The Bruins now have a 13-6 record and will face Lewis & Clark in their next match.
