Pioneers fall in shootout at Oberlin

OBERLIN, Ohio. – Transy Field hockey fell in their final match of the weekend. The Pioneers lost in a shootout to the Oberlin Yeowomen 0-1. The loss drops Transy to 0-8 in the North Coast Athletic Conference. Transy outshot in the Yeowomen in regulation and overtime 18-6 and led in penalty corners 14-6 but couldn’t find the back of the cage. Oberlin stopped all 12 shots on goal in the game and stopped all five Transy shootout attempts. It was the second time this season Transy has been in a shootout.
